Galen's Blade

A Starquest 4th Age Adventure

By Richard Paolinelli

AN ANCIENT ARTIFACT. A GALAXY ON THE BRINK. A HERO WHO REFUSES TO SURRENDER.

The battle for the future of the Andromeda Galaxy is far from over!

In Galen's Blade, the explosive second installment of Richard Paolinelli's Starquest 4th Age science fiction series, Galen Dwyn faces his greatest challenges yet. The mercenary-turned-hero who helped thwart the creation of a new Galactic Empire must now confront an enemy determined to finish what was started.

Still recovering from his devastating injuries sustained in the battle against Harmool's fleet, Dwyn lies in stasis while Princess Rhiannon assumes the title of Regent of Salacia. With her father, King Iodocus, missing, Rhiannon launches a desperate search while attempting to repair the damage inflicted on the Alliance by those who sought to establish a new Empire.

But the danger is far from over.

A shocking assassination attempt nearly claims Rhiannon's life until Dwyn awakens in time to save her. When the King's location is finally discovered, a daring rescue mission takes the group into the lawless Wilds, where danger lurks around every corner.

An ambush separates their forces, and Dwyn makes a desperate sacrifice to ensure Rhiannon and her father escape. But before he can return to Alliance territory, an old enemy emerges from the grave. The King and Rhiannon are taken hostage, a massive insurrection erupts, and the Alliance falls to a new Emperor.

Now Galen must undertake another dangerous rescue while finding a way to unite the forces of rebellion against a ruthless new regime.

Packed with spectacular space battles, political intrigue, shocking betrayals, daring rescues, and unforgettable characters, Galen's Blade delivers everything readers love about classic space opera.

The Starquest 4th Age saga continues. The galaxy needs a hero. And Galen Dwyn is not finished fighting!

REVIEW
WHERE TO BUY IT

"Galen's Blade continues the fun from Galen's Way. We continue the the themes of heroism and betrayal, and having an unrepentantly heroic hero and unrepentantly villainous villain is still something rare enough to be a fresh air. Plots continue to unfold, and there are wonderful melodic themes brought in from Space Opera, but put together in new and different ways. As is appropriate, things get worse for the good guys, but the bad guys have their own problems, driving them faster and harder. But as is also appropriate, this pushes the overall story forward towards the ultimate confrontation and conclusion. My recommendation: Buy. Read. Enjoy."
